Dr. Rishi A. Roy
Vascular Surgeon, Singing River Hospital

Rishi has more than fifteen years of surgical experience and specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the arteries and veins, including peripheral artery disease, aneurysms, and varicose veins. Today, Dr. Roy provides vascular care at the Singing River Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, located within the Singing River Cardiology Center in Pascagoula.

Dr. Roy earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at UMMC, where his honors included the Robert S. Caldwell Memorial Award for Most Outstanding Resident of the Year, and then returned to the University of Virginia for a vascular surgery fellowship. He practiced at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson for five years and later founded a private practice.

He is a contributor to the 9th and 10th editions of Rutherford's Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, co-authoring a chapter on aortoiliac aneurysms.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Roy co-founded Mississippi Youth and Government, a nonprofit that teaches democracy to young people, and serves on the boards of Lead Mississippi: Youth Legislature Program, the Mississippi Museum of Art, and the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
